Family and Friends Poem
by Clara Lucca
Family is a gift from God above
They help and teach us how to love
We learn to be friends and forgive
Teaching us lessons on how to live.
Some of the life lessons that we learn
Loyalty and respect have to be earned
Trust once broken is hard to get back
We must overcome what we lack.
Family and friends, both we hold dear
In our life they are always near
Friends, well, they come and go
But our family we'll always know.
A sister can be a very best friend
They will be with you until the end
An eternal bond that grows each year
You'll always know them, never fear.
Non-family friends are needed too,
Some of them are always true
A close friend is a golden treasure
Their worth is beyond measure.
So be wise when choosing friends
Build friendships that won't unhappily end
Everyone will make mistakes
Try to fix them, no matter what it takes.

Who are we?
Blooming Through Fire is a newsletter designed for Catholic girls about 6th and 7th grade age. At this age, it can be hard to be different from everyone else, but we want to encourage girls to be shining lights to the world! We will hopefully come out with a new newsletter every two months, and if you would like to be notified when we have a new issue out, please e-mail Emily at bloomingthroughfire@gmail.com with your request. We would love it if you would e-mail us your comments and/or suggestions, and, with that being said, please enjoy the newsletter!
